Even today many fixed cameras are not able to record video with great clarity. We often see on the news that CCTV captured at a crime scene is not of high enough quality to identify the suspects and that police are asking for witnesses.  The situation gets even worse when the cameras are positioned on high buildings or bridges etc. and the distance between them and the object is much greater. That distance makes it hard to recognise objects and faces, and thus renders the cameras almost useless.

Airlive has developed, what the company believes to be an answer to this problem, namely the bullet IP camera BU-3028/ BU-3028-IVS, which is equipped with a high quality sensor and a smart focus and zoom lens, allowing it to adjust focus remotely and immediately when the focal length is changing. In addition, the installer does not need to adjust the focus when setting up the cameras, making both installation and maintenance easier and ensuring that an effective video quality is captured with no details missing due to the zoom.

The Airlive BU-3028/BU-3028-IVS also have new built-in features such as Corridor Mode. AirLive Video Surveillance Solution

Now, we’ll show you how in practical terms it seems the implementation of video surveillance system based on IP cameras, the example of the company AirLive IP video surveillance system is a device that allows communication between IP cameras, computers, and storage devices for video recording and on the Internet if it is a remote control. The first step for the setting up a system of IP video surveillance is certainly the installation of such devices. In our case we used the AirLive WN-220R, a wireless router which supporting transfer rates up to 150Mbps, for the SOHO segment.
This wireless router has four Ethernet ports, and in a practical sense you can connect up to four IP cameras.  AirLive WN-220R offers you the ability to set up by using the wizard or manually step by step. After one or another way to set the WAN connection and get access to the Internet, you’re ready for the next step in setting up a system of IP video surveillance. This router distinctive design offers support for popular encryption methods (WEP, WPA, WPA-PSK, WPA2, WPA2-PSK), and the WPS. The more advanced functions to be integrated firewall with IP address filtering and service, URL blocking, and control the MAC address. Implemented protection against DoS attacks; a feature that makes this router extremely interesting for applications in video surveillance system is dedicated support for AirLive IP Cameras. Access service menu is also available at 192.168.1.254, as with other AirLive routers. This router is available at affordable price.

 

 

 

After initial setup and after addition of computers to the WN-220R connect at least one of the supported IP cameras, the Forwarding Rules menu you will find IP CAM section, which will be shown all the cameras connected to your WN-220R. Since the routers DHCP options at default settings on, access IP CAM section will be necessary for you to know that the IP address assigned to your camera or camcorder.

This solution allows very flexible use of the savings in the available storage capacity. The cameras can be activated to sound or movement. In LiveView section you can supervise in real-time, while the Playback section you can view footages from exactly chosen time period. Network video recorder is the most expensive component of the video surveillance system, a test model NVR4 available at a cost of about 425KM. If you consider that this is a machine you need to buy one or two hard drives, the price can be twice as much as these. Since the purchase of network recorded considerably increases the value of investments, most home users will at least initially to use a computer or network drive, or even the ability to record to a microSD card slot integrated into the IP-200PHD camera.

How to setup AirMedia-350 Wireless Network for BT Download January 28, 2011

Wireless Network Setup

Step One: Add a Wireless Enabler (AirLive N.MINI) to your AirMedia-350

  • To connect your AirMedia-350 wirelessly to the Internet, you’ll need a wireless enabler, such as AirLive N.MINI (wireless USB adapter).

Step Two: N.MINI Client Mode Setup (through PC)

  • Switch Your N.MINI to Client mode
  • Open up a web browser and enter the IP address of the client mode N.MINI IP: 192.168.1.253(it’s on the paper manual guide)

  • Then there will be a pop up screen asking for login, username: admin, no password (default setting)

  • Go to the setup wizard and complete the client mode setting for N.MINI

  • Plug your N.MINI back to AirMedia-350.
  • Connect your N.MINI to your wireless AP router by pushing the WPA button on both devices.
  • Wireless connection established! Get ready for the next step – BT Setup!

BT Setup

Step One: Format your HD disk for the first-time use to make sure that it’s ready for saving your legally downloaded files.

  • How to format the HDD?

System -> HDD Format -> HDD Format

Step Two: Enable the BT and SAMBA

  • Go to System, and turn the option into “ON”

Step Three: Import the BT seeds from PC to AirMedia-350 via the web-based BT download management.

  • Open your web browser and input the AirMedia-350 IP.

  • Click on “Add new torrent” to add a new download task, and click on “Browse” button to select the destination to store the seed file. Then, click on “Yes.

  • Back to the initial page, and you will see the seed downloading status.

  • Once the downloading is completed, you may find the files have already been saved on the AirMedia-350.
  • Return to the initial browsing page of AirMedia-350 on your HD TV. Your legally downloaded files locate in “Browse  -> All -> HDD”
